The Rotating Box

One thing I love to do to give a song some mystique is to use what I call the rotating box.

So instead of just randomly plucking through my chord progression, I'm going to pick four notes to create a box out of and only operate inside of that. So as my chord progression changes, so do my inversions. For instance, here I have a B-flat in F Minor and A-flat and an E-flat. Here's the box that I've created. So I'm going to pull me at my progression, add some effects, and it's going to create this really cool cyclical pattern. So give it a try and have fun!
