Here's a great way to expand a clean sound both vertical (highs and low) and horizontal (stereo width)!
Start by plugging your guitar into an ABY Box set to "Y" (splitting to two outputs). Run one of those channels into your amp of choice and the other into an acoustic simulator pedal.
Next, plug the respective outputs of your amp and acoustic sim pedal into two separate channels on your audio interface.
In your DAW add a stereo chorus to your clean electric sound and keep the acoustic sound panned to the center.
Add delay and reverb to taste and off ya' go!
