Quick Tip for Playing in Open-G

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

Quick tip if you're ever playing guitar in Open G. We know the high E string gets tuned to a D, the A string gets tuned to a G, and typically, the low E string would go to a D. But I suggest that you leave the low E string as an E, and here's why: It allows you to play a G chord with the G on the bottom, which is just a bit stronger, and it also opens up some cool chords.

Suggested tuning: E, G, D, G, B, D
