Forged in the cavernous expanse of the Lutheran South Multi-Purpose room, The Rock began as an excuse to get to school early, set up a bunch of loud equipment, play rock music in chapel, and then get back to class late!

Well, as it turns out, we were pretty good - and actually liked each other! So The Rock was formed (aptly named by LuSo's own Rev. Ron Roma) and became a frequent addition to local youth events and National Youth Gatherings.

From chapels to arenas, what was once a high school jazz band rhythm section would eventually become a touring worship band. Yet as a new millennium arrived, these 5 members began to explore new life experiences leading them across the country and world while still retaining a love, passion, and commitment to music.

Looking back on these great times yields not just memories but tangible receipts. We managed to record three albums!

These three albums represent a distinct era of our lives. Each has its own character and as a whole represents dedication to musical progress and brotherhood. That we have remained friends and are able to play and share some of these songs again is incredibly special. So, we are truly grateful that you have chosen to share an evening with us and we hope you enjoy the music!
